Friends For This Season

I completely believe God's promise to provide what we need during this time.  God has provided a "friend for this season" of my life.  Someone who was diagnosed with cancer just a week before I was. Someone who can relate to the trials and emotions that this journey has and will bring.  Traci, I'm talking about you. Billy and I look forward to having lunch next week with you and Brian.

Today I would ask that my blog followers pray for Brian and Traci.  Traci has breast cancer and has undergone her 2nd round of chemotherapy.  She began losing her hair already and shaved it off this morning.  You can find her and her husband's story and encourage them today at:

My prayers are with you all today.

"God will generously provide all you need.  Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat.  In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.  You will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous.  And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God."

2 Cor.  9:8,10-11 NLT

  1. Kristi,
I wish you could know how blessed I have felt today because of you! Your post on my site with the 1 Peter verses earlier lifted my spirits and reminded me exactly what God wanted me to remember today. This road is not one that I would have chosen for either of us, but I am thankful that God is in control and has given us each other! Thank you again for all the encouragement today! Looking forward to having lunch soon!

  2. Kristi, I'm Traci's sister, I'm married to Brian's twin, Brad. I am praying for you daily and am so thankful to God that he has put you and Traci together off this season. You are able to help her in ways that I can't and that means so much to me. Please know that all of the Davis family is praying for you and will help you in any way you need!

  3. Hey sweet sister.. praying you See Gods hand of provision for all you need today! xoxoxo

  4. Thinking of you LOTS today and praying for you with all of the decisions being made. God is bigger than ALL of it!
    I love you!
