Specific Prayer Requests for Wednesday

Kristi sent her family a picture of herself and an update this morning.  She is "always" smiling.   I told her she reminds me of Philippians 4:4-9 " Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, I will say it again:  Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, WITH THANKSGIVING, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will gaurd your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

As you pray today, please pray that her blood count will not go any lower.  It is low enough this morning to consider giving her a blood transfusion.   Also pray that her pain medication will give her relief from the needle entrance and from the pain of laying flat on her back.  The pain medication is causing an allergic reaction making her itch on her legs, which she cannot reach so this is driving her crazy.  They are going to give her benedryl to counteract this so she may sleep well ALL DAY!!  This would not be bad, since sleep would help pass the time and she did not sleep well all night. Pray also for Billy and the kids as it is hard to be concerned and unable to be with Kristi.  Pray that the radiation destroys every spot of cancer and that God will protect Kristi from any long term effects from this radiation.

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth in named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.  Now to HIM who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to HIM be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen  Ephesians 3:20

Thank you for your love and friendship to our family.  We are all finding encouragement and strength in your posts on the blog and personal calls and emails.  God is so good to give us HIMSELF and one another!!  We thank God for you!!  Danina

  1. Hi Kristi! I hope you are able to read this as you go through your second day of radiation... I am praying for you so much, Kristi. That your pain would be minimal (even non-existent!) and your spirits would be high. These 47 hours will be gone in a flash and I can't wait to hear that you're through them and feeling yourself again! I know you are covered in prayers from around the world today-what an amazing gift. We love you!

  2. Kristi, I have kept you in my prayers daily at 9pm. I pray that you feel God's presence and peace surrounding you. That your pain will diminish and most of all that the Dr.'s are guided by God's faithful hand to get rid of the cancer and keep your body strong. What an amazing prayer chain you have. Keep your spirits high and focused. Your family is strong and I pray for their protection and patience thru this short time. God is good and faithful. I can do all things thru Chris who strengthens me Phil 4:13 Love you, Carla

  3. Kristi, these are some verses that I am declaring over you and praying for you and your family from Psalms 91. Picturing you, in the hospital room, tucked away in the shelter/shadow of the Most High God...the God who creates, comforts, sustains, heals, rescues is with you, at this very moment. Trusting He will speak with you and anoint you with peace and even greater mesaures of joy as He heals your body. Love, Kelli

    1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
    will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
    2 This I declare about the Lord:
    He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
    he is my God, and I trust him.
    3 For he will rescue you from every trap
    and protect you from deadly disease.
    4 He will cover you with his feathers.
    He will shelter you with his wings.
    His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
    14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
    I will protect those who trust in my name.
    15 When they call on me, I will answer;
    I will be with them in trouble.
    I will rescue and honor them.
    16 I will reward them with a long life
    and give them my salvation.”

  4. Sweet sister of mine, I don't like that you are laying there all alone. I wish I could be with you. I'm quite certain that I could entertain you!! ;) If anything we could reminisce about all of our awesome memories that we share and pass the time!! But since I can't here are some jokes...

    Q. Why did the blonde nurse take a red magic marker to work?
    A. In case she had to draw some blood

    There was a Blonde and her husband.
    One morning the husband leaves for work and the blonde gets up. She's determined to prove to her husband that blondes aren't dumb, by painting the kitchen.

    When her husband gets home he says to his wife "Honey why do you have 3 coats on?"

    The blonde says, "Well the directions on the paint said to use three coats for best results."

    A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his blonde neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mailbox. She opened it then slammed it shut and stormed back into the house. A little later she came out of her house again, went to the mailbox and again opened it, and slammed it shut again. Angrily, back into the house she went.

    As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, she came out again, marched to the mailbox, opened it and then slammed it closed harder than ever.

    Puzzled by her actions the man asked her, “Is something wrong?”

    To which she replied, “There certainly is!”

    My stupid computer keeps saying, “You’ve got mail!”

    I hope one of these made you smile and helped you forget for a few seconds about what's going on!!! (note *I would never do any of these things!!)

    LOOOVVVE YOU!!!! :)
